Where Art, Nature, and History Collide.

Hey, I’m Sista Krista! I'm a Visual Information Specialist with a decade (and counting!) of experience in graphic design, marketing, and multimedia wizardry. I’ve got degrees in Graphic Design and Marketing, but my career kicked off as a freelancer—and guess what? I’m still at it! Over the past 10+ years, I’ve had the freedom to tackle everything from designing T-shirts and logos to building websites and creating all sorts of event designs. It’s been a fun ride, collaborating with a range of clients and learning something new every step of the way.

Somewhere along the way, I had the chance to rock the role of creative director at local radio stations, diving deep into visual storytelling and media. But as much as I loved that, my heart kept pulling me toward something bigger—art, nature, and history. Those passions led me to the National Park Service (NPS), where I could finally combine my creativity with my love for the outdoors and telling the stories of our nation's history in engaging ways.

Whether it’s designing event signage, crafting social media campaigns, or creating immersive exhibits, I’ve got a hand in pretty much every corner of visual communication. My mission? To make content that not only stands out but is also accessible to everyone. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)—you name it, I’m on it! Whether I’m designing websites, shooting videos, or creating graphics, my goal is to produce work that connects, resonates, and inspires action.

My true passion? Using my creativity to bring both history and nature to life, and to make a positive impact through every design. Whether I’m freelancing or working with the NPS, I’m all in when it comes to telling stories that make people think, feel, and get outside to explore.
